Meet our goats! Our 2006 CAE test results: NEGATIVE once again for the whole herd!


Our herd is still young, but we put a lot of thought into our breeding program in order to produce healthy, productive goats. Although we do not show our goats, many of the herd names in our lineages will be recognizable to most fine goat breeders for their exceptional quality.

Our small herd is healthy, CAE and abcess free, and G6S normal. CAE is a debilitating, incurable disease that is passed on most frequently through milk and colostrum. Keeping our goats free of CAE is one of our top priorities, not only because the disease decreases production, but because of the suffering it can cause the afflicted goats. We test each and every one of our goats annually. Our goats have all tested normal for G6S, which is a genetic defect particular to Nubian goats. Our goats are very much a part of our family and
the kids are bottle-raised to assist in the socialization process so that we have friendly, happy goats. They spend their first week in the house in order to bond with both people and dogs.
